The Qatar Tourism Authority has announced plans to celebrate Eid al- Fitr at the Doha Summer Fun Park with a host of programmes.
The park, which has welcomed over 165,000 visitors so far, is also co-operating with the organising committee of the World Cup 2022 bid to distribute gifts and prizes to children during the Eid.
The Qatar Television will also join the festivities, broadcasting its children’s Eid show from the main stage at the park.
QTA’s head of marketing Cristina Mules said a new theatre show, games, competitions and more chances for children to get involved with various activities such as playing musical instruments will all be part of the celebrations.
The exhibition centre will also be specially decorated for the event.
She said the QTA distributed some 2,000 gift bags during Garangao, and added a number of prizes would be handed out over the coming weeks.
Mules said that the park has also been giving children bracelets with their parents’ contact details so that they can easily locate the parents if a child gets lost.
