The American School of Doha (ASD) is committed to developing a stronger relationship with the Qatari community, the institute’s new director Dr Deborah Welch has said.
“We will also expand our involvement with Qatar’s educational aspirations while being true to our mission, vision and identity,” she told Gulf Times in an interview.
Dr Welch, a native of Boulder in Colorado, US, arrived about a month ago to take up her position, accompanied by her husband Dr Phillip Stroup, who has joined ASD as director of development and external relations.
A teacher, administrator and consultant, Dr Welch has been visiting ASD since December 2006 when she conducted a professional development course for the Kindergarten-Grade 12 staff.[Read More]
