Entrepreneurs urge business innovations


There are good prospects of generating more jobs in Qatar’s retailing sector if entrepreneurs are prepared to introduce innovation into their business activities, according to the promoters of a group which is launching a hypermarket that will be trading around the clock.
Quality Hypermarket managing director Shamsudeen Olakara and executive director Abdul Rasheed said that their group would like to prove that more jobs could be generated by “undertaking experiments” in business activities. “What one needs to do for achieving such targets is the effective utilisation of manpower resources at one’s disposal,” said Olakara.
Some medium entrepreneurs had failed in the past with experiments like being open for 24 hours, admitted Olakara.
“However, Doha has grown considerably since those days and we believe that customers now would receive welcome experiments like round-the-clock retail businesses,” he said. [Read More]
