QOC launches sport and health campaign

The Qatar Olympic Committee (QOC) has launched ‘sport and health campaign’ to enhance the general awareness and the importance of sport among the Qatari youth.

Abdulrahman Al Dosari, director of QOC public relations and marketing department, said the QOC will broadcast awareness messages and reports on the importance and benefits of sport and physical fitness through Qatar TV and radio.

He said the campaign focuses on Qatari families and individuals and encourage them to take up sport and physical fitness programmes and make it part of their routine life.

The campaign urges people to walk regularly since walking for 20 minutes burns significant amount of calories. [Read More]
