
Qatar Airways has launched its Tokyo service early this morning with about 300 passengers on board, adding one more destination in Japan besides Osaka.
Qatar Airways is now the only Gulf carrier to fly daily to Tokyo.
The daily service using an Airbus A330 will fly via Osaka and takes about 13 hours to reach Narita International Airport in the Japanese capital.
Up to 300 passengers can fly on the Airbus A330 with a three-class configuration of first, business and economy, an airline spokesperson said.
Last month, Qatar Airways de-linked its Seoul operations from Osaka and made the service to the Japanese city, non-stop from Doha. Tokyo is now an extension of Qatar Airways’ daily Doha – Osaka service.
Within Japan, Qatar Airways passengers can fly to many destinations from Tokyo and Osaka based on a codeshare arrangement with Japanese carrier ANA. [Read More]
