DOHA: The 7th International Trade Exhibition for Construction Technology, Building Materials, Equipment and Environmental Technology for Qatar (Project Qatar 2010) came to a successful conclusion yesterday.

The four-day event which has set a benchmark in the construction industry events for furthering the quest for ‘green solutions’ in the industry with the three-day Qatar Sustainability Conference (QSC 2010) was hailed by exhibitors as an excellent venue for establishing contacts and conducting business under one roof.

Hany Aly, Area Sales Manager of Doha Cables, the first cable manufacturer in the country which was established last year, said the event witnessed more people keen on their search for business opportunities in the sturdy Qatari economy.

“The attendance was very good with a great deal of higher management staff of various companies visiting the stands. We were approached by several companies in the Middle East especially Qatari companies, some of whom have expressed interest in joint ventures,” said Aly.
