
The Federation of GCC Chambers (FGCCC) honored Mrs. Raja Easa Al-Gurg, President, Dubai Business Women Council (DBWC) during the Gulf Business Forum during the ceremony that was held by the Federation, on the occasion of the 30 years of its establishment in Doha, Qatar. She was honored on Wednesday, April 7, in the Qatari capital, in recognition of her work for the Federation and for her interest in the economic health of the Gulf region.
Mrs. Raja Al-Gurg expressed her thanks and appreciation to the FGCCC, which she said for over three decades has contributed to the consolidation of relations between GCC countries, overcoming many difficulties and obstacles, by playing a leading role in establishing the Council’s standing in the region. She pointed out that the honor came in the framework of the Federation’s keenness to appreciate the efforts of those who have made striking contributions to its success, especially for laying the foundations of its strong base. “This was achieved through the sincere efforts of persons who worked for the advancement of joint GCC work and believed in the idea of the Federation,” she said.
Mrs. Al-Gurg said that the role of the FGCCC Chambers was of paramount importance and it would complete its journey with efficiency and professionalism, and add more accomplishments to its bright record, that are beneficial to the people of the region. “It will also face future challenges with a clear vision and strong will,” she said.
She said that the honor was an encouragement to her to continue her march in support of women in general and businesswomen in particular and to move them forward towards new horizons in the future.
