DOHA: Around 200 bigwigs in the international film industry have confirmed their attendance at the Financial Times Business of Film Summit “Rethinking Strategies in an Evolving Landscape” which will be held here on March 22 and 23.

Harvey Weinstein CBE, co-founder of Miramax Films and co-chairman of The Weinstein Company, has been confirmed as the concluding keynote speaker at the two-day summit, which will be held at the Four Seasons Hotel Doha, said Raja Sharif, director of International Affairs of Alnoor Holdings, a partner of FT for the event.

The summit’s keynote speaker, Bill Mechanic, used to be the chairman and CEO of Fox Filmed Entertainment and the president of Walt Disney Studios’ International Distribution and Worldwide Video, overseeing international theatrical, worldwide home video and worldwide pay television. [Read More]
