Hamad Medical Corporation (HMC) has already accepted a total of 1,092 job applications at the ongoing Qatar Career Fair boosting its plan to recruit more Qataris.

HMC’s Qatarisation plan is based on selecting appropriate candidates interested to join the company, to be qualified through short-term development training courses at the Development Training Institution as well as a long-term qualification plan through overseas scholarships for 18 educational programmes.

HMC has set forth a two-year Qatarization plan which involves increasing recruitment of Qatari nationals to 70 percent of its total clerical and administrative staff. In 2009, nationals occupied 56.3 percent of the total job positions, while expatriates occupied 43 percent.
