Qatar in general and Doha in Particular has been a venue for number of international conventions and conferences and resultantly have become international media attention. Local Media has also gained considerable experience. Doha today is equipped with world’s most advanced advertising vehicles that include News, TV, and Internet. As the advertising and media industries in Qatar working to modernize there capabilities, with little more organization and regulations the whole scene will change.

There are five daily news papers in Qatar, three of which are Arabic and Two English. The Arabic dailies are AL Watan, AL Sharq, Al Raya, and The Peninsula Published by Al Sharq.

There are few good local magazines such as Marhaba  (Tourist) and Abode (Family).
