Doha is the main city and capital of Qatar. 83 % of population of Qatar lives in Doha. Doha has a world class education and businesses. Due to Doha’s proximity to the South Estate Asia, Europe, Middle East and Africa, it’s an ideal place to live, work and study. Major universities include Qatar University, Carnegie Melon University, Texas A& M, CHN and American School of Doha. Education City in Doha aims to be the center of educational excellence in the region.

Doha’s economy is moving away its dependency on the oil and natural gas industries. Qatar government is encouraging private sector and develops a “knowledge economy”, Qatar Science & Technology Park for overseas and domestic companies, Education City, Sports City and The Qatar Financial Centre (QFC). Qatar also plans to build an “entertainment city” in the future.

These steps will certainly create most desirable investment environment and strong foundations of of hi-tech sector in Qatar in general and Doha in particular.
